Writing Guidelines

Article Title

  • Use only initial capital letters, Times New Roman, 14 pt, spacing before 6 pt, after 6 pt, single line spacing (1).

Abstract

  • The abstract in Turkish should be between 250-300 words.
  • The abstract should not exceed one page. (Times New Roman, 9 pt, spacing before 6 pt, after 6 pt, single line spacing (1)).
  • The abstract should not include references or abbreviations.
  • Keywords: 4-6 keywords should be provided. Keywords can be used for indexing.

Main Text

  • Font: Times New Roman, 11 pt, spacing before 6 pt, after 6 pt, line spacing 1.15.

Tables

    • Table titles: Use only initial capital letters, italicized, Times New Roman, spacing before 0 pt, after 0 pt, single line spacing (1).
    • Remove the right, left, and top borders of the table; only the category headings within the table should be bold, other texts should be normal.

Headings

  • Headings should not be numbered.
  • No empty lines should be left after a heading.
  • Only the initial letters of headings should be capitalized.
  • No more than three levels of headings should be used. First-level headings should be bold only, second-level headings should be bold and italicized, and third-level headings should be italicized only.
  • Headings should be included with the following text. To ensure this, right-click on the heading text, then select Paragraph/Line and Page Breaks/Keep with Next.

Abbreviations

  • Abbreviations should be defined the first time they appear in the text.
  • Abbreviations should not be used in the abstract.

Footnotes

  • Footnotes can be used within the text.
  • Footnotes should not contain references.
  • Footnotes should ideally be placed on the first page.
  • Footnotes should be automatically numbered by the word processor.
  • Footnotes should be numbered 1, 2, 3, etc. Endnotes should be avoided in favor of footnotes.

References

  • All references should be formatted according to APA 7 (http://www.apastyle.org/).
  • No other reference style should be used.
  • Abbreviations should not be used for journal and book titles in the references.

  • Surname, A. (2012). Thesis title. Unpublished Master’s Thesis, University M, City. (Times New Roman, 10 pt, spacing before 6 pt, after 6 pt, line spacing 1)
  • Surname, A. (2001). (2004). Chapter title. In Aaaaa, B. C. (Ed.), Book title (pp. 111–222). City: Publisher. (Times New Roman, 10 pt, spacing before 6 pt, after 6 pt, line spacing 1)
  • For other publications, APA 6 should be used.
